Yesterday, at the Modena plant, the production of the new trident car started.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This time, however, it's not a new version of the sporty SUV or of some sedan, Maserati<\/b> has finally decided to find an heir to the MC 12, even more extreme and even more performing, as if to remind the world of the reason for which it was founded: to create havoc among the kerbs! At the time of its launch, expectations were obviously high: in fact, it was a question of finding a car worthy of bearing the MC (Maserati Corse) acronym in its name and at the same level as its predecessors.<\/p>\n

To better understand the MC 20<\/b> we have to look at the past: MC 12<\/b>: Maserati Corse 12 cylinders. Even just the name makes you understand what this car can do. We are talking about a spider produced in 2004 with a huge engine of about 6 liters, 12 aspirated cylinders derived from Ferrari, positioned in the center; the horsepower is 630 and the body is made of carbon fiber with a rear wing of about two meters. It was designed in collaboration with Ferrari<\/b> and Dallara<\/b> and designed by the Great Giugiaro<\/b>, in short, this is a car that has in its DNA the races, born to win and give emotions.<\/p>\n

After 15 years Maserati decides to continue making history by presenting the MC 20. The engine halves the displacement and the number of cylinders, we pass to a 3-liter V6 bi-turbo<\/b>, but the power increases by 30 hp.<\/p>\n

It is the engine itself that represents the great novelty: in fact, it has two combustion chambers for each cylinder using the well-known F1-derived<\/b> technology. The peculiarity of the engine lies in its name: Neptune<\/b>, in memory of the God of the sea who wielded the trident to exercise his power!\nAs far as performance is concerned, however, it is not yet known exactly because the select few who have been able to try it in preview have not had the opportunity to squeeze it on the track. Certainly the data speak for themselves: 630 hp<\/b> for less than 1500 kg<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Carbon fiber as far as the eye can see, air intakes scattered all over the car make it a powerful car with which to dare.
\nOf course the MC 20 is beautiful, fast and powerful, but the question is: will it live up<\/b> to its name? I sincerely hope so!
\nI think Maserati felt the need to shake off that sad gentrification dictated by the production of the Levante and with this new car, which brings with it the propensity of the brand to racing<\/b>, hopes to return to talk about itself as it deserves.<\/p>\n

It is by concluding that I want to ask you: which is the most beautiful?\u00a0I know it's an unusual question but I would like to give it another key of interpretation.
\nDoes Giugiaro's pencil make the MC 12 a car still in step with the times?\nWill the MC 20 still be talked about in another 15 years?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Surely to answer with certainty we must wait for time to run its course even if I already have an idea and I think it should be sought among the fans: the only ones who see the cars for what they can give and not with that disarming coldness that is increasingly rampant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
