VGEN COOKIE POLICY

WHAT IS MEANT AND WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that can be installed on devices connected to the Internet (e.g., PCs, smartphones, tablets) while accessing and/or browsing a website. Indeed, the sites visited send cookies to the browser used (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari) and are then stored and replayed to the sites already viewed.

Cookies may also be transmitted to your browser by different sites or web servers which, while browsing a specific site, may be installed on your browser and may be derived from other sites that you have previously visited. In this case we speak of third party cookies, as they are installed by different operators than the site you are visiting.

Cookies, therefore, allow the sites visited to recognize the device used to connect, improving its functionality and interoperability with the site. This allows the user's browsing experience to be improved, for example, by allowing him/her to store the preferences entered and authentication credentials, analyse the use of the services offered and the content provided therein.

This site uses only technical cookies and first and third party cookies.

Below we inform you about existing cookie types, characteristics, which cookies are used by VGen and how they are managed.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?

Cookies can be distinguished according to their duration, function and origin in the following macro-categories:

  • technical cookies;
  • analytical cookies;
  • profiling cookies;
  • first-party cookies;
  • third party cookies.

1. DURATION

Session cookies

These cookies are stored only temporarily from the beginning of your navigation on the site and are automatically deleted when you leave a site or when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies

These are cookies that persist and are stored after you leave a website or after closing your browser. These cookies will be deleted when the cookie expires or if you decide to delete it by following your browser settings.

2. DOMAIN

First part Cookie

These are cookies installed on your device directly by the operator of a website, in this case VGen.

Third-party" cookies

During navigation, cookies from different sites or web servers may also be installed on your device ("third party" cookies). This may happen because on the site you are visiting there may be elements linked, through specific links, to images, maps, sounds and/or links to web pages of other sites and located on servers other than the site you are visiting.

These cookies are therefore installed by third party sites through the site on which you are browsing. In this case, if you decide not to grant permission for the use of such cookies, you can only use the functions of the site that do not postulate the use of such cookies.

3. FUNZIONE

Essential "technical" cookies

These are cookies normally installed VGen or by the operator of the website you are visiting. These cookies enable the transmission of web communications or make services available on a particular site. These cookies do not collect any of your personal information or data.

Without these cookies some functionality of the website may be compromised and/or access to content may be restricted. Therefore, installing such cookies does not require your consent.

Functionality "technical" cookies

Cookies that allow us to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and their navigation on a website.

These cookies allow the user to navigate according to a selected set of criteria (e.g., language), including to improve the user's browsing experience. This type of cookie may include personal information (e.g. id-user).

Without these cookies some functionality and/or navigation between pages of the site may be compromised. Therefore, installing such cookies does not require your consent.

Performance cookies

Cookies used to understand whether users are new or returning, how they use the site, how they navigate between pages and for how long. The information collected in this way does not identify the user, but uses data in an aggregate and, therefore, anonymous form.

The deactivation of these cookies does not compromise the functionality of the site where you are browsing.

Analytics

Cookies used to collect, anonymously, information on the use of the site, also to obtain a statistical analysis of the pages viewed and navigation made by users; this allows to improve the quality and functionality of a website.

These cookies may be either first or third party cookies. These cookies, as mentioned, do not collect any information or personal data about you. If, however, the analytics were installed by third parties, these are assimilated to profiling cookies and require the user's consent.

These cookies may be deactivated and/or deleted through your browser settings and, in this case, the services offered on the site may be limited. For more information, please use the "Help" option on your browser or click here.

Social Widgets

Some widgets on the site and made available by social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) may use third-party cookies to improve their functionality. Deactivating these cookies does not affect the use of the site except for the sections where widgets can be installed (such as linking to specific web pages).

Disabling cookies used by social widgets may, in some cases, compromise the use of the widgets and, therefore, the ability to quickly share content or link to social networks.
